ROLE OF FNAC IN BONE LESIONS, A CYTOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL CORRELATION IN A TERTIARY CARE CENTER IN CENTRAL INDIA

Objectives: FNAC plays a pivotal role in any lesion for the ease of diagnosing and treatment an ailment. The bone lesions has not been studied great vastness but it can definitely time taken on histopathology. aim study was to sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative value lesions, comparison cytological findings histopathological identify accuracy lesions. Methods: retrospective observational study. All samples were correlated with histopathology where available. Results: A total 92 cases studied. stands at 81.3% along sensitivity 87.5% specificity 75% 77.8%. Non-neoplastic 18, followed by primary benign tumors 29, Primary malignant 28, secondary 6, unsatisfactory smears 11 identified.
